Information about recent changes to bus services will be posted on this page.
Rider bus fare changes
Rider bus fares increased from 27 July 2008 due to increased bus running costs including the rising cost of fuel, however Day Explorer tickets are now cheaper.
Adult single fares have risen by 10 to 20 pence, although the maximum day return fare remains capped at £5. Child fares remain at half the adult single or return fare. Some individual fares will be adjusted to reflect the rates charged on commercial bus services.
Weekly tickets rise in line with the standard fares, with the Freedom Ticket price increased to £13 per week.
Day Explorer offers unlimited travel on East Sussex Rider services and most other buses in the South East. This one day ticket is available from the bus driver at the new lowerprice of £5 per adult, £4 per child and £10 for families (up to 2 adults and 2 children).
