Major competitions

• The Sussex Food and Drink Awards – take place every summer and autumn. Voting closes in October and awards are announced in January.
• British Cheese Awards – Golden Cross Cheeses, High Weald Dairy, and the Traditional Cheese Dairy Company are regular winners.
• Great Taste Awards – winners are announced at the end of each year.

• Ridgeview Wine Estate – their ‘Merret Bloomsbury 2002’ won the World Wide Trophy for Best Sparkling Wine in the International Wine and Spirit Competition 2005.
• Harveys Brewery – Harveys Best Bitter declared 'Champion Best Bitter of Britain 2005' at CAMRA’s British Beer Festival.
