Support and training for adoptive parents

Our responsibilities do not end when an adoption order is made – we offer long-term support to adoptive and birth families, and to people who have been adopted.

You are welcome to ask us about the support that is available. This can include social work, financial help, where appropriate, and local support groups.

We also have a contract with the national Post-Adoption Centre. This is an independent organisation that offers a counselling and consultation service to everyone who is involved in adoption in East Sussex. Visit the Post-Adoption Centre website.
